THE ZON is a Brisbane-based electro-pop solo artist, known for producing and writing all original music. Debuting in 2022 with the EP LIFE AS THE ZON, THE ZON has since released a full-length album, TURN GREEN (2023), featuring the standout singles “Touch Grass” and “Summer Sun,” which were both highlighted in the 2024 Qube Effect.

Since 2022, THE ZON has performed across Brisbane at venues such as The Brightside, Greaser, It’s Still A Secret, and with the Qube Effect at The Tivoli and The Triffid, bringing a dynamic live presence to each show backed up by a powerhouse band featuring other Brisbane based artists Hag and Gluport.

THE ZON’s work extends into the theatre world as well, with original scores created for productions like Bughouse (2023) by Vena Carva and Guilty (2024) by Inscape Assembly for Anywhere Festivals. These scores incorporated tracks from THE ZON’s projects, newly composed pieces, and recreations or parodies of pop songs, all produced specifically for the live setting.

The newest album, LIKE A WEAPON, explores themes of self-acceptance and unrequited love, showcasing THE ZON’s most personal work to date. Blending chaotic, energetic electro-pop with introspective, slower electronic ballads.
